HK Labor Department to Revamp Career Website

The Careers Advisory Service of the Labor Department of Hong Kong will revamp its website and adopt a completely new layout with a number of new initiatives from Saturday.

"The website has been providing updated careers information to members of the public since its launching in February last year. To cater for the latest development in the labor market, we keep on updating and strengthening its contents," Stanley Ng Ka-kwong, a senior labor officer, said Thursday.

New features will include an Activities Web which pulls together careers news of all youth organizations and professional bodies in Hong Kong, he said, adding that this will make the website even more user-friendly as interested individuals will be able to obtain diversified information simply through one portal.

Ng said that more interactive features would be added to the website by phases to strengthen its dissemination of careers information.

"Members of the public are welcome to share their views on the content or design of the website by completing the questionnaire on the Internet," Ng said.
