Urumqi Launches Flights to Russia's Jekaterinburg
A passenger plane from Jekaterinburg of Russia landed at the Urumqi International Airport, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 12 pm Wednesday, marking the official opening of the air route.
The route is the 7th international air route that Xinjiang Airline Company has launched.
The passenger plane left Urumqi International Airport at 9 pm on Tuesday for Moscow via Jekaterinburg to complete its maiden flight on the new air route.
The Urumqi-Jekaterinburg-Moscow route, 3,991 kilometers long, is a five and a half hours flight.
