Court Session on Robbery Gang Opens
An open court hearing on the seven-member robbery gang was held Wednesday in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The seven suspects, with Yang Tianyong as the chief, killed 19 people, injured one person and robbed 24 motor vehicles, including Benz and Mitsubishi cars, in 25 robberies in three years ending May, 2000.
More than 300 people attended today's hearing, which will conclude on Friday.
