Chengdu Technological Property Rights Exchange Opens

The Chengdu Technological Property Rights Exchange, the third of its kind in China, was launched in Chengdu on Wednesday.

Located at Suanxin Building in the capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province, the exchange will focus on technology transfer and efforts to safeguard the rights and interests of investors and proprietors of the technology.

Wang Yongchun, president of the exchange, said that the exchange, which is based on the Southwest Technological Property Rights Exchange set up in 1994, aims to promote commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

The exchange, the first in western China, has been registered as a share-holding company.

The two other exchanges were based in Shanghai and Beijing, which were set up in last December and May, respectively.
