Chinese President Meets Russian Guest
Chinese President Jiang Zemin met in Beijing on Wednesday with Volsky Arkady Ivanovich, president of Russian' s industrial entrepreneurs union.
The Russian guest, who is here attending the third plenary session of the Sino-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, spoke highly of China's achievements in reform and its opening-up drive.
He briefed the Chinese president on the efforts of the Russian side in promoting Sino-Russian good-neighborly relations in the framework of the Sino-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development.
Jiang expressed satisfaction for the continuous development of Sino-Russian relations and the increase of unofficial contacts between China and Russia.
