Volkswagen to Put in Another US$1.5Bn in China

Sources from China Investment Co. Ltd. say that Volkswagen will invest another three billion mark in the five years to come in China.

To fight for a 50% market share in China`s car market, Volkswagen has been out to carry over their investment policy, esp. in new models, seeing to it that Audi A 6 and Shanghai Volkswagen Passat be out on add-on investments made. Bora and Polo will be produced in No.1 and Shanghai Volkswagen.

Volkswagen has invested three billion mark (US$1.5 bn) in the past few years, and another three billion mark will be put into research and development of new car models for the Chinese market.
