Japanese Took a Easy Win

Japan, after their impressive 4-1 victory over Saudi Arabia, produced a stunning demolition of Uzbekistan in their second Group B match in Saida beating the 1994 Asian Games gold medallists 8-1 Tuesday.

Twenty four minutes in the first half the Japanese team was leading its opponent by a 4 goals margins;

The remaining of the game was a matter of training for the Nippon, and an endless nightmare for the Uzbeks.

The old Soviet state came to Lebanon in order to achieve a positive result, thus have a major role in the competition, instead they turned to be a training bag for the Japanese and virtually lost all their hopes of qualifying to the second round.

While the Japanese, proved, once again to be the big favorites of Asia 2000, with a stable level and an impressive collective display; The Japanese assured their advance to the next round and probably a first place in this group.
