Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met Tuesday with the juvenile artists of the Tibetan Xuelian Children's Art Troupe.

The young dancers and singers from the troupe, aged 9 to 13, have just concluded their 45-day tour of Chili, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

Wang Zhaoguo, who is also head of United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, extended his appreciation of the performances.

The artists' performances not only introduced to the world a prosperous Tibet, but also demonstrated the life of the Tibetan people, especially the life of Tibet's younger generations, wang said.

During the meeting, Nhawang, head of the troupe, gave a presentation on their performance tour, saying that the troupe has staged 32 performances and received loud applause from government officials, audiences and overseas Chinese in Latin America.

The performances mainly included Tibetan dances, Tibetan operas and folk songs, representing the profound Tibetan culture and life of the Tibetan people.
