Alps Floods Leave 25 Dead, 21 Missing

Search and rescue teams continued to comb parts of the Alps Tuesday after torrential downpours triggered mudslides and brought rivers out of their banks. At least 25 have been confirmed dead with 21 still missing in Italy and Switzerland. Gondo was especially hard hit, with one-third of the village destroyed by a landslide. Still, rescuers here hope that at least some of the 11 missing in the slide may be found alive.
