Birthplace of "Art of War" in East China

The birthplace of "Art of War," a famous Chinese military book written by Chinese military strategist Sun Wu about 2,500 years ago, is believed to be in Wuxian City, capital of the ancient Wu Kingdom in east China.

More than 160 domestic and overseas experts endorsed the conclusion of Chinese scholars at an international symposium on the book, deemed by many as a "military Bible."

The themes of the symposium, held October 16 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, include a uni-polar world and a multi-polar world, global strategic environment, key strategy and world security, cross-Straits relations, future war modes, as well as economic strategies and safety.

Born in the Spring and Autumn period dating back 2,500 years ago, Sun Wu is regarded as the patriarch of Chinese military science, and is highly worshipped for his "Art of War."
