Runyang Road Bridge over the Yangtze to Get Underway
State Planning Development Commission has lately authorized the plan for the construction of the Zhenjiang-Yangzhou Road Bridge over the Yangtze, naming it the Runyang Yangtze Road Bridge.
Stretching a total length of 35.6 km, the main body of the bridge strides about 7,210 meters. It is a bridge, which combines the derrick style with that in suspension, the first of its kind in China. With a total investment of 5.125 billion yuan, the bridge is to be completed within a timeframe of 5 years as expected.
