"Tongrentang" Cup Cliff Climbing Tournament Closed
The 2nd "Tongrentang" Cup Asian Youth Cliff Climbing Tournament and the 8th "Tongrentang" Cup National Cliff Climbing Tournament were closed October 16 after three days' competition in a new standard cliff climbing gym built in Huairou, a suburban county of Beijing.
In the 2nd "Tongrentang" Cup Asian Youth Cliff Climbing Tournament, the ROK team ranked first with 6 golds, 4 silvers and 2 coppers; China second with 2 golds, 3 sillvers and 4 coppers. Japan won 2 golds, three sillvers and 1 copper; Singapore and China Hong Kong, 1 gold respectively.
In the 8th "Tongrentang" Cup National Cliff Climbing Tournament, 21 contestants who entered finals vied for climbing a 15-meter-high and 3.6-meter-wide man-made cliff. Huang Liping from the Geological University of China and Zhao Lei from the Capital Gym team won women's and men's championships respectively.
