Honghe Cup Intl Marathon Tournament Held in Beijing2000 Honghe Cup International Marathon Tournament got off with a bang 8:31 a.m., Oct. 15 from Tian'anmen Square.Over 1,3000 marathon runners and fans from more than 30 countries took part in the tournament. Championship went to a Kenyan runner 2:13:52, Chinese runners Hu Gangjun and Zhan Donglin came after to take the second and third places respectively. Honors for women's top three went to a Chinese team Duowei. Wei Yanan, champion of women's group, set the best record 2:26:34. Sun Yingjie and Tian Mei were placed respectively second and third. |
