China's Per-Capita Total Output Value to Exceed US$800
According to the prediction of authoritative departments, China's per-capita GDP will exceed US$800 by the end of this year.
It's reported that the per-capita disposable income of urban residents reached 5,854 yuan in 1999, an increase of 1,571 yuan compared with that of 1995; the per-person net income of farmers was 2,210 yuan, a growth of 632 yuan. During the 1996-99 period, the annual growth rate of income for both urban and rural residents reached 5.6 percent and 5.4 percent respectively, exceeding the targets set by the "Ninth Five Year Plan."
