The leaders of the world's most celebrated stock exchanges are attending the world stock exchanges' conference in Shenzhen, a southern city bordering Hong Kong.
The five-day conference which opened October 13 is an important part of the ongoing Second China Hi-Tech Fair in the city. It provides opportunities for China's new and high-tech enterprises to know more about foreign stock exchanges and tap new ways of financing.
Zhuang Xinyi, deputy mayor of Shenzhen, said the conference will hold discussions on some topics, like upcoming opening of a second-board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, use of second-boards of overseas stock exchanges by Chinese enterprises and financing for China's western development.
Heads from stock exchanges in New York, London, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong will make speeches at the meeting.
