Indian FM Puts Off Visit to Saudi Arabia

Indian External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh has postponed his three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, which had been scheduled to start on October 17, official sources said Saturday.

No reasons were immediately given for the postponement of the visit, the first by an Indian foreign minister in the last five decades to Saudi Arabia.

His visit was aimed at forging a new partnership with the oil-rich kingdom.
