Fourth Mild Seven Outdoor Quest to Be Held in Lijiang
The 4th Mild Seven Outdoor Quest (MSOQ) (http://www.msoq.com/1999/english/index2.html), the most competitive and exciting event on the world circuit, is to be held Nov. 2-5 in Lijiang of Yunnan Province. Great success had been previously witnessed by the like events held in China.
About 24 teams from 10 countries, including China, America, France, Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia, Japan and Canada will take part in the competition for comparing notes on team biathlon and adventure skill. Among them will be many world-class athletes as Olympic champions to take part in the race.
Iron man triathlon is one that has first been made an Olympic event of 2000 Sydney Olympics. The Games starts from a 1.5-km swimming, follows a 40-km hiking and ends with 10-km running. As reported, three Olympic champions of iron man triathlon from Sydney Olympics will participate in MSOQ.
This year's race route seems to have been designed more challenging. The stage race consists of seven sports-kayaking in Yangtz River, climbing 4,500m-high Yulong jokul, running through the ancient city of world heritage Lijiang and adventure in Hutia Gorge, which claim to be a multi-sport world tournament.
