Beijing Welcomes Participants to International Crime Prevention Conference

The Beijing municipal government held a reception this evening to greet the participants to an international conference on crime prevention to be held Thursday in Beijing.

The Eighth International Conference on Crime Prevention, hosted by the Asia Crime Prevention Foundation, is attended by more than 700 judges, procurators, police officers, lawyers, law experts, and representatives from the United Nations and other international organizations.

Addressing the reception, Beijing Mayor Liu Qi said that he believes that through exchanges of views, the participants of the meeting will propose good solutions to crime prevention.

He said that he hopes the conference will further enhance cooperation and exchanges among judicial organizations in Asia in the area of crime prevention.
