HK Confident of Making Success 2006 Asian Games
HKSAR Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa said October 11 in his HK 2000 administrative report that the HKSAR government is making all its possibilities to apply for hosting the 2006 Asian Games and that HK has full confidence in making the event a complete success.

Hong Kong
Sports Association and Olympic Committee first applied for Asian Olympic Games last June 15 and have had the back of HK sports circles and the HKSAR government in its application for playing host to the 2006 Asian Games.
Apart from Hong Kong there are also
Malaysia
,
India
and Katar bidding for the 2006 Asian Games. The Asian Olympic Council will decide the host of the Games in
ROK
at the end of the year.
