Gas Explosion Kills 25 in Northwest China
A gas explosion occurred early Wednesday morning at a coal mine in Honggu District of Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's
Gansu
Province, killed 25 people, according to the local district government.
Provincial leaders from public security, labor and coal management departments rushed to the scene to conduct rescue operations.
About 120 rescue staffs are still working hard to search for other victims of the explosion and the cause of the accident has not been determined yet at the press time.
