Sri Lanka's Ruling Party Takes Early Lead in General Elections
Sri Lanka
's ruling People's Alliance (PA) took an early lead in the postal votes which was first to be counted after Tuesday's 11th general elections, the state radio said Wednesday morning.
The PA won 12 out of 20 districts where postal votes were counted. The main opposition United National Party won seven districts while the other one was won by a minority Tamil party.
