Algerian President Arrives in Beijing

At the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika arrived in Beijing Monday afternoon for the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and a four-day state visit to China.

Bouteflika will attend activities of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum -- Ministerial-level Conference Beijing 2000 from October 10 to 12.

Bouteflika's entourage include Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelaziz Belkhadem, Minister of Participation and Coordination of Reforms Hamid Temmar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Amar Sakhri and Minister of Commerce Mourad Medelci.

Apart from Beijing, the Algerian guests will also visit Shanghai and Shenzhen.
