Kenyan FM leaves for China-Africa Cooperation Forum

Kenyan Foreign Minister Boyana Godana left Nairobi Sunday afternoon for Beijing to attend the China-Africa Cooperation Forum starting on October 10.

"African countries and China will discuss issues like globalization, poverty relief and economic cooperation," Godana told Xinhua at Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.

He will make a speech at the forum and tour south China during his four-day stay in China.

An Yongyu, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, was at the airport to see Godana off and assured him that he would feel at home in China.

The three-day forum seeks to enhance China-Africa cooperation in agriculture, international economic order, poverty alleviation and other major development challenges facing them.
