Pak President Denies Any Pressure on Him to Resign
Pakistan's President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar on Monday dispelled the impression that he was under pressure to resign from the office of presidency.
He told the newsmen at a local function, that the reports appeared in a section of the press in this regard are baseless and unfounded.
Rafiq Tarar said he never aspired to assume the charge of the presidentship nor he intended to hold this office beyond its tenure. "My prime objective of holding the office is to serve the nation," he added.
