Togolese President Arrives in Beijing
Togolese President Gnassingbe Eyadema and his party arrived in
Beijing
Monday afternoon to attend the opening ceremony of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and visit China, at the invitation of Chinese President
Jiang Zemin
.
The three-day forum is scheduled to open in Beijing October 10.
This is President Eyadema's fifth China visit since he assumed presidency in 1967.
In addition to Beijing, the Togolese guests will also visit east China's
Shanghai
Municipality and the southwestern province of
Yunnan
.
