"Tongrentang" Cup Cliff Climbing Tournament to Be Held
The 8th "Tongrentang" Cup Cliff Climbing Tournament and the 2nd "Tongrentang" Cup Asian Youth Cliff Climbing Tournament are to be held October 14 -16 in Huairou, a suburban county of Beijing.
The 8th "Tongrentang" Cup Cliff Climbing will be on a bigger scale than those previously staged. Eighty contestants from 19 teams will vie for climbing a 15-meter-high and 3.6-meter-wide man-made cliff in a new standard cliff climbing gym built in Huairou.
Meanwhile, contestants will be formed into 3 age groups: 14-15, 16-17 and 18-19 in the 2nd "Tongrentang" Cup Asian Youth Cliff Climbing Tournament. Among the cliff climbers will be included 40 contestants from Korea, Singapore, Japan and Iran, in addition to 14 Chinese athletes.
