Zhenjiang Private Company Develops New Mineral Water Product
China's only mineral water with natural carbon dioxide gas was recently developed into a new beverage by a private enterprise in east China's Zhejiang Province.
Zhejiang Jinyi Group, a producer of pure water and beverages aimed at children, invested 300 million yuan (US $36 million) in the development of the new beverage that takes mineral water from the Wudalianchi Lake, a scenic spot in northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
The Jinyi Group has signed a contract with the Heihe City government in the Heilongjiang province to set up a share holding company to develop the product. The Jinyi Group owns 51 percent of the shares.
The annual production of the company will reach 300,000 to 500,000 tons within three years according to Chen Jinyi, the board chairman of the Jinyi Group.
