Huaxi Medical Sciences University Celebrates 90th Birthday
Huaxi Medical Sciences University, the medical education and research center in western China, celebrated its 90th birthday Friday.
The university, located in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, was the original site of China's stomatology research.
It merged with Sichuan University in September this year, forming a new Sichuan University.
The medical university currently has more than 7,000 students, with two departments, eight colleges and 12 research institutes.
