US Supportive of Yugoslav Opposition Demonstrators
US President Bill Clinton on Thursday expressed support for the demonstrations staged in Belgrade by Yugoslavia's opposition supporters.
Clinton at the same time ruled out the possibility of US military intervention in Yugoslavia. He told reporters at the White House that a US intervention would be inappropriate.
"I think the people are trying to get their country back, and we support democracy and the will of the Serbian people," said the president.
