Ranariddh Hopes to Develop Trade Relationship Between Cambodia and China

President of the National Assembly Norodom Ranariddh Tuesday told the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Ning Fukui that he hopes to develop the bilateral trade relationship between Cambodia and China.

Meeting with the Chinese Ambassador at his residence in Phnom Penh, Ranariddh said that he expects more Chinese state enterprises and private companies to invest in many sectors, such as industry, light industry, agriculture, basic infrastructures, power development and tourism, because Cambodia is at the new period of restoration and reconstruction.

Ning Fukui said that China has attached importance to promotion and development of the economic and trade relationship between the two nations. And China encourages its state enterprises and private firms to invest in Cambodia, and is eager to make contributions to the restoration and reconstruction of Cambodia.

The two sides can have discussions on the type of development of economic and trade co-operation relationship, and Cambodia should facilitate the Chinese investors, Ning added.
