Bird Park Opens in Tangshan

A bird park, located in the center of Tangshan City in north China's Hebei Province, opened to the public on October 1, the National Day.

The park, covering an area of 15,000 square meters, contains more than 70 species of bird, numbering around 3,000 in total.

Visitors to the park can enjoy green trees, flowing streams, fragrant flowers and the sounds of birds singing.

Tangshan, which was devastated in 1976 by an unprecedented earthquake, has been rebuilt as a modern city through more than 20 years' efforts.

Local residents said that the bird park has made the city look significantly more attractive.
