Hostage Recovered by Philippine Troops

government troops recovered Monday morning a Filipino evangelist in the southern Philippines who has been held hostage by the Abu Sayyaf since July, the ABS-CBN news channel reported.
He was one of the 12 Christian evangelists of the Jesus Miracle Crusade which paid its way to the jungle lair of the Abu Sayyaf on Jolo island to pray for the hostages taken from the
Malaysia
n diving resort f Sipadan on April 23.
The evangelist is the third hostage rescued by the military since the launching of rescue operations on September 16. Two French journalists managed to escape from Abu Sayyaf rebels and were recovered by the military on September 20.
