Rapid Growth in Jinan's Industrial Park
Believed to be the first of its kind, a spraying preparation of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of insomnia has been invented in Jinan Industrial Park by Returned Overseas Chinese.
This is only one of about 60 new and high technological achievements of the park, situated in the capital city of east China's Shandong Province.
Twenty of the achievements have gained international recognition, the park's head said.
The park is located in a New and High Technological Development Zone, and aims to attract the establishment of high-tech businesses by returned Chinese students.
The park has finished construction of 30,000 square meters of hatch-out areas with such features as water and power supply, heat, fire protection, telecommunications, Internet access, meeting room, exhibition hall and gym.
Jinan municipal government and administrative body of the zone developed a financing system for new business lending, with funds of 120 million yuan (14.5 million U.S. dollars). In addition, the municipal government will allocate 100 million yuan (12 million U.S. dollars) within three years to pay the interest of bank loans lent to new and hi-tech programs, according to the head.
Twenty enterprises have been set up in the park, employing a total of 350 persons, over 110 of whom hold senior or middle titles of a technical post.
