High-tech Products List Announced in China
As jointly announced on Thursday by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation the list of high-tech products includes some 2056 varieties of products from the following 11 fields of carrier rocket, multimedia software, systematic integrated circuit of photoelectric machinery, and nano-material, etc.
The eleven high-tech fields on the List are: electronic information, software, aviation and spaceflight, biology, medicine and medical appliances, new material, new energy and concentrated energy-saving, environmental protection, earth space and oceanography, nuclear application technology and agriculture.
The agrotechnical field has for the first time been added into the List, thus providing grounds for defining the high-tech products in agriculture. In the meanwhile, the List also gives prominence to software products as an individual field of technology in order to meet the specific needs of the state for software products.
