Dalian Hosts Acrobatics ContestThe fifth "Gold Lion" National Acrobatics Contest will be held in Dalian, North China's Liaoning Province, between October 17 and 22. A total of 1,000 acrobats from 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the people's army and some other units will perform in 69 programmes during the six-day-long contest, which is reputed to be the most intense of its kind in China.For the first time, an acrobatics troupe from Taiwan will also take part in the contest.
