China's Leading Musical Institute Celebrating 50th Anniversary

China's leading music institute -- Central Conservatory of Music began to celebrate its 50th anniversary early this month.

Celebration activities include some 20 symphony, traditional Chinese music, piano and guitar concerts, according to the China Culture Daily.

Meanwhile, some ten academic seminars and research exhibitions constitute a special part of the Conservatory's birthday party.

In the past half century, the Conservatory has cradled many top-grade singers, composers, conductors and musical performers and become the benchmark of China's musical education.

Profiting from a system operating from primary school to doctorate level, the Conservatory has witnessed a great number of musical talents during the past 50 years.
