Traffic Resumed on Beijing-Guangzhou RailwayTraffic in the southern part of the Beijing-Guangzhou railway, which suspended Monday night due to a freight train derailment, was resumed Thursday morning, according to local sources.At 9:00 p.m. on September 25, the No. 2767 freight train came off the track between Wayuan and Zheqiao. Twenty five of its 30 cars derailed, resulting in 57 hours of suspended traffic in this part of the railway. Three of the cars were loaded with oil, two with liquefied gas and another two with menstruum. But no casualties have been reported in the accident. More than 1,000 railway workers, policemen and aimed police officers participated in the rescue and repair operations. The cause of derailment is still under investigation.
