Beijing Offers Wideband Service to Cities' Summit
Beijing Telecom will provide foreign mayors with a wideband information service during the Sixth Major Cities' Summit Beijing 2000 which begins Thursday.
Mayors participating in the Summit will have easy and quick access to the Internet as all the rooms they stay in has been installed with 10M wideband system.
Foreign mayors will be able to visit their city homepages, and request video programs via the Internet while staying in Beijing.
Beijing Telecom promised to provide the participants with first-class telecommunication services as the city is striving to digitalize itself.
Over 150 people will attend the summit to discuss city-related issues.
