Telecom Law to Be Drafted SoonThe Ministry of Information Industry is stepping up research on the making of a telecom law, and its collection of relevant materials both at home and from abroad, and on this basis, it will establish a legislative framework and draft the Telecom Law.An official with the Ministry of Information Industry says that in order to solve the urgent problems concerning telecom management, the State Council has decided to first enact the "Regulations on Telecom Management", "Provisions on the Management of Foreign Investment in Telecom" and "Provisions on the Management of Internet Information Service" before the publication of the Telecom Law. He said that the drafting work of these regulations was going on smoothly. He also said that the tentative idea of the Ministry of Information Industry is that forces will be organized to draft the Telecom Law immediately after the completion of the making of the above-mentioned regulations. |
