Police Seize Drug Trafficking Syndicate
Hong Kong police neutralized a drug trafficking syndicate following the seizure of 5.8 million Hong Kong dollars (0.74 million U.S. dollars) worth of suspected heroin and the arrests of two men in the New Territories Wednesday.
After extensive investigations, Police officers of the Narcotics Bureau started lying ambush outside a carpark in Evergreen Street, Tai Po, early Wednesday morning. The officers spotted a private car with two men inside entering to the carpark at about 8.30 a.m.
The police found 20 slabs of suspected heroin in a travelling bag placed inside the boot of the private car.
The two men, aged 31 and 39, were arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs and they are still being detained for enquiries.
