China to Take a Top Olympic Place Predicted

Up to this day, September 26, the Chinese Olympic Delegation still ranks second in the Sydney Olympics with 22 golds, two minus behind the US. The Chinese team will possibly take the third place, surpassing its original target to rank among the world first four in Sydney Olympics.

September 25, the tenth day of the Sydney Olympics, is very significant to Chinese Olympians for they swept another three titles to make a total of 21 golds over 20 golds targeted.

The Chinese Olympians won 18 golds in only five events including women's weightlifting, ping-pong, shooting, gym, and badminton to have won great honor for the Chinese nation.

Till September 26, 2/3 Sydney Olympic events have passed, and the Chinese team has won 22 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze medals. As the events of table tennis, badminton, women's weightlifting and shooting have finished, the Chinese team will has the potential to win golds in a few events like diving, track and field, and kick-boxing.

But current situation shows that even if the Chinese team wins no gold in coming events, it still can keep its place among the top four, or top three, or a place of top three aspiring to world second.

We believe that Chinese Olympians will try their best and greet the 51st National Day with outstanding successes.
