China to Hold 1st Fair For Non-public Businesses

A Fair for non-public businesses will be held from December 8 through December 12 this year in Kunming.

This will be the first time that such a fair will be held in China. Some 1,500 private enterprises, overseas-funded businesses, share-holding enterprises, collectively-run enterprises, and sci-tech institutions will attend the fair.

The fair is sponsored by the State Economic and Trade Commission, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Economic Cooperation and Yunnan Provincial People's Government. And it aims to promote the development of non-public businesses.

According to the organizers, the Hong Kong SAR and the Macao SAR will send delegations to the fair. Business associations from home and abroad will also attend.
