Kim Dae-jung Stresses Need for Inter-Korean Confidence Building
ROK
President Kim Dae-jung said Sept. 26 South Korea and
DPRK
should work together for building confidence to bring to an end the half century of military confrontation.
Receiving visiting EPRK Minister of People's Armed Forces Kim Il-chol at his Chongwadae office, Kim noted the agreement reached at the first-ever inter-Korean defense ministers meeting to form a working-level military committee for restoring a severed inter-Korean railway to back up the June inter-Korean joint declaration.
