Three Telecom Companies Promise Better ServiceWe've seen complaints about telecom services on the rise during recent years and poor services are often the targets of criticism by consumers. Therefore, in an interview with reporters on Monday general managers from China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile jointly promised that they are sure to offer better telecom services in the near future.At a press conference held by the Information Office of the State Council on Monday, telecom services came to head a hot issue, Wu Jichuan, minister of Information Industry, said that the information industry will earnestly solve the service problems by attaching great importance to them. Zhou Deqiang, general manager of China Telecom said that China Telecom will treat the service problems seriously and measures will be taken to improve them so as to provide better services. For example, it plans to increase Internet access speed to 8 times within this year. Yang Xianzu, chairman and managing director of China Unicom, and Zhang Ligui, CEO of China Mobile made the same commitment, expressing their willingness to better their services. The conference was presided over by Zhao Qizheng, chairman of Information Office of the State Council, and present at the conference are reporters from more than 100 units of press circles both domestic and foreign. |
