Guangdong, Hong Kong to Cooperate in Environmental Protection

The Guangdong Provincial Government and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Regional (HKSAR) Government will strengthen their cooperation in environmental protection.

This was revealed by senior officials from Guangdong and Hong Kong, who attended the Third Guangdong-Hong Kong Conference on Cooperation Monday.

At the conference, senior officials discussed the latest developments in HKSAR and Guangdong, especially pollution control measures to improve the quality of water of the Dongjiang and Pearl rivers.

The two regions have already set up an office to study measures to combat pollution.
