Russian Communist Leader Reelected Head of Left Coalition

Russia's Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov has kept his job as the head of the left coalition, the Popular Patriotic Union of Russia, or the NPSR.

That's the result of a vote at the NPSR's third congress.

In the next part of the congress in January, the NPSR will discuss its blueprint for the year 2001.

A number of organizations, including the "Russia" movement led by the State Duma Chairman Gennady Seleznyov, are part of the left coalition.
