Putin's Special Envoy to Visit Pakistan

A special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sergey Yastrzhembsky, will visit Pakistan from September 26 to 27, said a Foreign Office statement on Monday.

Yastrzhembsky is the assistant to President Putin and has an important role in the formulation of Russian foreign policy. This time he will be carrying a message from the Russian President addressed to the Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf, said the statement.

A number of important meetings have been arranged for the Russian special envoy in Islamabad to review the bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global issues of common concern, it said.
