Wang Nan Wins Table Tennis Singles


Wang Nan Won Table Tennis Singles Women Gold Medal
Wang Nan beat her doubles partner Li Ju in the all-Chinese women's singles final on Sunday for her second gold medal for the Sydney Olympic Games.

Top seed Wang beat second seed Li 21-12, 12-21, 19-21, 21-17, 21-18 in the thrilling match.

The pair had won the women's doubles gold on Friday.

Chen Jing of Chinese Taipei took the bronze medal to win her a complete set, having won gold for China at Seoul in 1988 and silver for Chinese Taipei in Atlanta in 1996.

Chen beat Singapore's Jing Jun Hong 18-21, 21-14, 21-15, 21-10.
