Dalian Shide Snatches Chinese Soccer League Title

Dalian Shide tied Qingdao Hainiu 0-0 to snatch the league title after the second-placed Shanghai Shenhua lost to Yunnan Hongta at the Chinese first division soccer league on Sunday.

With one round of competition remaining, Dalian Shide Sunday got a valuable point and amassed a total of 53 points after 25 rounds of matches while Shanghai Shenhua collected 49 points. As results of Sunday's 25th round competition, Dalian Shide has won the league champion ahead of time.

Yunnan Hongta, with the home advantage, came from behind to defeat Shanghai Shenhua 2-1 and successfully remained in the first division.

Defending champions Shandong Luneng lost to Sichuan Quanxing 2-4. Sichuan Quanxing has now recorded 41 points, finishing third in the standings. Chongqing Longxin had 38 points, ranking fourth.

In today's other matches, Beijing Guo'an eliminated Xiamen Xiaxin 4-2, liaoning Fushun edged Chongqing Longxin 5-3, Shenzhen Ping'an tied Tianjin Taida 1-1 and Jilin Aodong drew with Shenyang Haishi 1-1.
