Bamboo Museum Opens in East China
China has set up a bamboo museum in Anji County in east China's Zhejiang Province. The county, which is located on the northern part of the province, has a number of hills with a wet climate, suitable for growing bamboo.
Researchers have cultivated scores of new species of bamboo in the recently opened museum.
With modern exhibition techniques, the museum will help visitors have an overall understanding of bamboo culture and the history of the plant.
